So lo and behold, I come across this picture today in my email. This is the very first picture taken of Joe and I. It was taken the first night Joe and I laid eyes on one another. Downtown Wilmington. REEL Cafe. The memories just start flooding back. Gosh, it's crazy to think about us then and us now. This May will be our 4 year anniversary being together. It will also be our 3 year anniversary of buying our first home together. It makes me think...these two crazy cats below had no idea how lucky there were about to become.

Helena & Dean's 8th Birthday
This weekend was another fun-filled celebration in York, SC. It was Helena & Dean Patrick's 8th BDAY. Joe and I totally couldn't miss that. They had a art-themed party where everyone painted pottery. Ironically enough, Joe and I painted them personalized mugs for their birthdays of which they both loved.

It's Snowing!
You probably think I'm completely crazy for dedicating an entire post to the fact that it's snowing outside. I probably downloaded more pictures to this post than of any other post before. But the simple fact is that it never snows in Wilmington. Never! And today was the second time in ten years of living here that I've seen it snow here. And I absolutely love it! You really never realize how much you miss winter snow until it's gone. Well folks...it's back for a day. And I can't get enough of it.

Hooked on Knitting
Last year I learned to knit. And that's when I fell in love. I was hooked. So far I really only know how to knit straight rows. lol. So nothing but scarves for EVERYONE. But don't worry. My dad and stepmom gifted me several beginners' knitting books at Christmas. And so I will broaden my knitting horizons. I'm sure I'll be taking requests any day now. Wish me luck.
so soft and warm.

Happy New Year! Sretan Nova Godina!
Happy New Year everyone! And for all my Croats, Sretan Nova Godina! I hope everyone had an excellent time ringing in 2009 and had a great start to this new year. Joe and I had dinner at Deluxe in downtown Wilmington with a wonderful friend, Ami and her date. Ami was one of my roommates when I studied in England and we've kept ourselves dedicated to staying in touch with one another over the past four years. It's always nice to reunite with old friends and reminisce about the past especially at the ending of a stage and the beginning of a new year. ...
For last year's words belong to last year's language.
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
