Life is Like Riding a Bicycle

And moving, Joe and I did. We went on a bike ride yesterday for the first time this year. And w/our NEW BIKES! We were so excited. I totally forgot how simply nice it is to take a bike ride with Joe and see new things, talk about stuff, and just enjoy each other's company. Cycling is just one of those simple pleasures in life that I will truly enjoy forever.

Jon & Lisa's BIG Day

Our friends Lisa & Jon got married at Wrightsville Beach yesterday. Woo hoo! It was such a beautiful day on the ocean. You really couldn't have asked for more. Sunny. 65 degrees. Just beautiful. And don't you just love weddings?! I do. My mother says that there's a five year span in your life where you feel like all you do is go to wedding after wedding. It's the time when all of your friends that are around your age are getting hitched. I think last year was the start of that for Joe and I. And you know what, I don't mind a bit. I like it.

40's Fashion Party

This past Saturday evening, some friends of ours threw a 40's FASHION PARTY. What a complete blast! Earlier in the day, some of the couples that were invited to the party went downtown to Flashbax. It's our local vintage shop and the staff is so much fun to work with. We all got set up with our 40's gear and were off. Joe and I brought the pigs-in-a-blanket...totally 40's (I think). And we just had so much fun at the get-together that the group is planning an 80's HOMECOMING EVENT to keep this vintage era theme going.
