2011 In Review

While thumbing through my Twitter Feed, there was a tweet that caught my attention.
It was a link to a list of twenty questions that you should ask yourself to evaluate your 2011.

What was the best thing that happened to you this year?
What was the most trying thing that happened to you this year?
What was the most exciting thing that happened to you this year?
What was the most memorable thing that happened to you this year?
And so on ...

About halfway through it seemed as though Baby Madzar was the answer to every question.
Something tells me that will never change.

Bringing in the New Year

If January 1 was any indication of how the rest of the year will go ...
Then we're in for a treat.
For real.

The Riggs' Family invited us over for a New Year Day Get-Together
And Robin summed it up perfectly in her Facebook status,
'Happy 2012! Drinking a mimosa while I prepare collards, BEPs, cornbread, and spiral ham. And looking forward to hanging outside with friends in 70 degree weather today!!'
Spending time with Grace Riggs will always put a smile on your face.

Ninja Suit & Budget Brown

Happy New Year, everyone!
Sretna Nova Godina, Hrvatska!
Happy 39 Weeks, Baby Madzar!

For New Year's, I would normally have thrown on my favorite LITTLE BLACK DRESS.
You know, all gussied up to the hilt.
This year instead of the LBD look, I went for the BBP.
BIG BLACK PAJAMAS.
Joe calls them my ninja suit.  I call them comfortable.
We brought in the new year relaxing at home all snug as a bug in a rug.

And also note this is my first blog picture with my new brunette 'do.
We've been told our lives are completely about to change with the new baby.
Including our checking account.
So we're preparing by making some sacrifices.
One of the first things to go was my monthly visits to the salon.
Now I'm on the books for low lights and a glaze every so often.
We call it Budget Brown in the Madzar Household.
