Triathlon. Check.
I don't know why I hadn't guessed it before. Maybe it just slipped my mind. Maybe I trusted him too much. Who knows. Either way, several months ago Joe was signing himself up for a local sprint triathlon. Instead of stopping there, he decided to surprise me (I use the term 'surprise' very loosely here.) and sign me up as well. Without a general house consensus of this decision, I was a tad shocked but knew I should take the reigns and go. If not for myself, then to do it in honor of the best, most fit boyfriend on the planet. I knew he would be proud and that in turn would make me proud...of me. A 300 meter swim, 11.5 mile bike ride, and 5k run later, I was crossing the finish line with a time of just a hair over an hour and a half. Joe bettered his last year's time by five minutes and placed 2nd in his age group. He won a handy-dandy chair that doubles as a cooler (LOL) and I checked another thing off the bucket list. Not a bad day.

WHAT!!!! way to go, that's amazing...oh about the triathlon too...i was referring to the spandex. lol. lol. seriously though, that's great, something to be very proud of. ummm...chair cooler? maybe i don't get the concept, but if i was running, swimming AND biking... somebody better be givin' me something better than a chair cooler! smooches.
oh my goodness... i am very proud of you. i honestly can say nothing in my body ever wants to do that. i am not a runner.. infact i hate it. :) i love to bike though- but only in my living room- or at the beach- lol- so that pretty much means i will never be in a triathlon... congrats though- you should be way proud of yourself :)
oh and yes. you do have a studly little boyfriend there. :)
Way to go, Mel! I have a few friends down here trying to get me to do one, but the running part has me scared. I think it would take me an hour and a half just for the run because I would have to keep stopping to rest and get a drink of water :) I'm going to create my own triathalon that has no running involved!
